P90X Lean - Day 43






Well Xers, it's been a rough weekend for me. It turns out that I got out of my lab late on Friday, so I wasn't able to do Legs and Back. I had already promised to help hand out candy for the Trick-or-Treating on the Lawn (big UVA tradition), so I beat it home and then went right over there. The good news is that I was WAY overdressed all day - thigh high boots, long socks, cashmere sweater, and a black trench - everyone else was wearing sundresses, shorts, tees, etc., so I sweat my BOOTY off! I must have walked at least 3 miles in all of that stuff all day, so there's a little workout for you :). I was supposed to make Friday up on Saturday, but I was called last minute to help host a huge gig all day, so I was at work for a long time! I would have worked out afterwards....but I got home at 6 and ended up FALLING ASLEEP by 8 pm hahaha. So Sunday I went to get back on the horse. I popped in Kenpo, put a few almonds and cheese in my belly....and then got food poisoning! How crazy! I felt sick after eating a few almonds the other day too - I was in bed and unable to move for a good hour and half. Now at least I know it's the almonds - thank goodness I ate less than 10. They must be bad. So no workout Sunday either. But I DID workout this morning and despite feeling sick BROUGHT IT with Kenpo! I'll just have to put these last three days behind me and know that they're not going to make that much of a difference (one was my off day anyways). I can only be grateful that i was sick yesterday - it means I didn't eat much :)!

Diet today:

Bfast - 2 pieces bacon, low-fat string cheese
Lunch - Tuna fish rollup w/ slice cheddar on a low carb tortilla
Snack - 2 pieces Pemmican, low-fat string cheese
Dinner - Chili w/ cheddar and sour cream
Snack - ?

Net Carbs - ?


I'm a little worried about my progress. 50% of the time I look at the pictures and see the weight loss. And now that I've started low-carbing, I'm losing centimeter a day, inches a week. And I think I really look great, honestly. But when i do these workout and I have to bend over for some of these poses, I look down and I have a huge gut that hangs down (can't see it in the pics!) I can grab two good handfulls of stomach fat. I'm just REALLY hoping it keeps melting away - I have a long way to go. It's about looking good, but more importantly it's about being healthy, and having a good 5 pounds of fat around your midsection can't be healthy!

Hi, I'm starting my P90x lean today. I was searching out others who have tried the lean program and wanted to see their success. I must say WOW! If I looked like you from the start I don't think I would even be trying it! I am a mother of two and have had several abdominal surgeries and have pretty much resigned to thinking a tummy tuck is the only way to get rid of my gut. You look incredible! And Im still searching for that "Stomach Fat" that you claim to have! I didn't see how much you have lost written anywhere. Do you mind sharing? Good Luck to you!
