Alright, back in action halfway through the day. I'm actually in class right now, but it is ridiculously boring and tedious :). So I did Core Synergetics today and I'm not gonna lie, it was freakin sweet. It actually wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, amazingly. This is obviously due to the fact that I've been working out regularly, especially doing yoga from Budokon, which really strengthens the core and is very focused on that plank push-up position. Not that it made the workout any easier! I was able to do everything, but I definitely fell out a couple times during some of the push-ups. I couldn't do the Sphynx Pushups at all. I don't understand the technique - it was actually easier for me to do them closer in to my body - opposite of what he states. I also had trouble with a couple exercises due to lack of balance - those reach up/reach down pushups are hard to do on a very soft mat on a very soft carpet - gonna have to relocate to a hardwood floor :). But the tape was a great intro - for all of you trying to figure out if P90X is right for you, I can just say that day 1 I was able to keep up, but only due to the fact that I was already pretty physically active. If you're not, than no worries - if you try it out and try your best, you'll get it over time!

PS - the instructor is freaking HYSTERICAL. I love him. From what I've read, some people think he's annoying, but I think he's the perfect blend of encouragement, pushing us to do our best, and just totally cracking me up.

As far as diet goes, I had a handful of dry cereal before the workout just to put something in my stomach. Afterwards, I totally crushed an open-faced egg sandwich on multigrain bread with a cup of coffee and some V8 splash. On my way to class, I had a SlimFast, which has held me over for a few hours. I'm ready for my snack - some amazing Pemmican Jerky. I urge you all to try it! I guess I have to wait for this 3 hour long class to take a break - I don't know how rude it is to eat in a class with, like, 4 people in it haha. Dinner should be a low-fat chicken pad thai that my boyfriend got from Costco. He's psyched about it, but I'm a little skeptical haha. So we'll see how it goes and if it's awful I'll just heat me up some SmartOnes ravioli :).
